Nations of Treaty 8 Urban CFS office is seeking for a Fee-For-Service Manager.  The Fee-For-Service Manager reports to the Senior Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing all fee-for-service programming. The Fee-For-Service Manager will manage a team of internal staff as well as external contract service vendors and ensure all programming meets the standard of the organization. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing work to unit staff
  • Supervise program staff by providing direction, input, and feedback
  • Monitor case activity and periodically review cases to ensure that appropriate services are provided, and referral sources are developed
  • Review and assist employees with cases, handle contact with clients and others as required
  • Responsible for managing, initiating, and monitoring contracts with providers in support of human service programs
  • Support and guide staff in developing effective caseload management techniques to maintain timely service to clients
  • Liaise with public agencies, private agencies, and governmental entities
  • Serve as a resource person to staff and the public with respect to community resources available for client referrals and in interpreting services available
  • Support staff in the development of programs, policies, and procedures related to the provision of services to the public
  • Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards
  • Manage in the development of resources and relationships with community partners
  • Organize events and/or participate in community events promoting services
  • Liaise with other managers to ensure the effective and efficient operations
  • Provide written reports on all fee-for-service programs to the Executive Director, Senior Operations Manager, and funders
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted program expenditures and operate within the approved budget
  • Report evaluation findings to the Senior Operations Manager and recommend changes to enhance the services, as appropriate
  • Manage and assist with the manual and policies of the Fee for Service department

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Social Work or in any Human Services related field with supervisory experience, eligible to be registered with Alberta College of Social Workers
  • An understanding and awareness of Signs of safety tools utilized by Alberta Children Services
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license, reliable transportation with $2 million liability insurance.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Check- current within three months.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Office, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Knowledge & understanding of Treaty 8 First Nations community, culture and language will be an asset.
